Autobiography of A Five Hundred Rupee Note

Autobiography of A Five Hundred Rupee Note Home College Campuses Autobiography of A Five Hundred Rupee NoteCollege CampusessocialAutobiography of A Five Hundred Rupee NoteBy Akshay Varma - December 7, 2016244822Facebook Pinterest WhatsApp Yes! I am going through a phase in my life where I am depressed more than ever. I… never really saw this coming! A few days back my owner was smiling when he looked at me. What more can I ask for. My value is pretty big, yet I have always been jealous of the many other big ones around. I am humble; never did I take pride in my existence. People share a variety of bonds with me. Some love me so they keep me hidden in a dark place, inaccessible to the world. Others adore me so they always carry me with them. Personally, I love people who let me be free more often than not. Nobody should be held longer than one deserves to be.I am not a slave; I am a free currency. However, we the community of notes got used to this system of being stagnant all the year long. Not able to meet my friends or g ossip about the different owners from various parts of the country sometimes makes me miss the outside world. Despite the fact that many people keep us hidden away, there are some who care for us in a natural way. Not everyone is as obsessed as some people are. They know and understand my value, my importance. I am respected for they need me. People use my abilities to fulfill their desires. Soon I am off to someone else. Over the last ten years, since my first arrival I have never seen such a drastic change in my career as a legal currency. On the 8th of November this year, when I was hanging out with my friends, suddenly my owner started acting absurdly weird. None of us knew what was happening. In the house where I lived, with me lived over a bunch more friends of mine whom I had never seen before until today. There they were, all sitting on a table, all piled up one above the other. I was at the rear end of the table, watching my owner. His face was terrified as if someone just robbed him. From that moment on-wards, things were set into motion. Over the next couple of hours, I had a great time talking with all my new friends who just got bail from the owner’s prison. It was a get-together after merely a year or so for me. Never have I ever been so utterly happy about something that I could not understand. The next day, when the news spread and everyone panicked, our support community got information through our intelligence sources which claimed that the higher authorities of the country made a bold move against illegal currency owners. We were informed that we are no longer a legal tender and our value is no more than a piece of paper. Knowing this, I couldn’t sleep all night!Five Hundred Rupee NoteWe were informed that we are no longer a legal tender and our value is no more than a piece of paper.Over the next few days, chaos built up. Both the people who owned us, and my friends who feared death were in nuisance. Some people believed this move to be better than any other move taken to curb the black money, as they like to call us. While others were furious over the decision. At first I thought, people really love us for the bond between us was inseparable. However, as the days past by we heard increasingly disturbing information of some people from across the country dumping our siblings and friends into rivers and gutters. People burned us alive, threw us away and abandoned us completely. It was then that the Senior Currency Committee that we set up a decade ago declined the possibility of any affection from the side of people. It was also then that we figured some very ground breaking discovery. Many of our friends and siblings were seen returning from the border zones. I met one such friend of mine in Delhi exactly ten days after the announcement. We had a good talk about the current situation. She explained how the cross border people refused to accept her and how she was put into a dark box and transferred all the way to Delhi. When more and more such friends of mine, began to show up, it made me believe a little that this move is certainly doing some good for the country.“the sheer scale of our families spread across the country Proves that people in this country are Ambitious.”What would happen to us, never really bothered them. Every person was increasing worried about his own problems. The sheer scale of our families spread across the country proves that people in this country are ambitious. Our executive department called for a meeting where the chief executive head of the department i.e. the one thousand Rupee note was about to handover his resignation. He was sad as he spoke these words, “I am deeply moved by the decision taken by our higher authorities. All these years it was great to be your leader and frankly I hope I gave justice to the honour. I wish I could play my part for another decade or so but now it’s the time for the next generation to stand up to the honour. I hereby res ign from my position and appoint the newly added two thousand rupee note as the new chief executive head of the department. Thank you all.” Each of us were in tears as we heard him for the last time. Meanwhile the new member in our family just arrived from the banks. Here it was, the new five hundred Rupee note. My present seemed like history; I was no longer needed. Soon, we got acquainted with each other and silently waited for the chaos to end.“No matter how hard the country gets hit by chaos, peace will regain its honour. And then for a brief moment, we all will rejoice again.”Not everything that changed that night made it to the pros list of happenings, however not every con that took place was its outcome. When things change, the order that was once considered static, unbreakable, strong and firm suddenly falls into pieces. Once the order gets shattered, the foundation shakes. With the vibration that gets aroused, a new equilibrium will soon be established. The days of o ur lives which are spent in dismay and sorrow will soon pass. No matter how hard the country gets hit by chaos, peace will regain its honour. And then for a brief moment, we all will rejoice again.TAGSchangecurrencydemonetisationfive hundred rupees fake notefive hundred rupees new noteIndialegalnote

Personal Branding in Social Media Marketing Class at UCLA - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career

Personal Branding in Social Media Marketing Class at UCLA - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career As many of you know, I teach Social Media Marketing for the UCLA Extension.   I launched the class in the fall of 2008, and were in the middle of the Spring 2009 semester.   We have 72 people enrolled in the class.   Since the Extension focuses on adult education, the class is a perfect representation of the business community in Greater Los Angeles insurance, health care, entertainment, small business, public relations, advertising, aerospace, etc. Learning about personal branding And the people who attend are in mid to senior level positions.   They want to know more about social media how it works, what it means, what the benefits are, etc.     Its a great class this time!   Very lively.   And last week Rodney Rumford (@rumford) discussed Twitter and TweetPhoto and the class loved it. Personal branding is a hot topic with this class as well, as it continues to be a fascinating topic for many business people. Especially with the economic turn down, I think workers are realizing that they need to be their own best advocate. However, I continue to sense a generational difference in accepting the concept of personal branding. Those who have been in the workforce longer still seem resistant and view personal branding as bragging.  Newer workers seem a little more open to the concept of becoming your own best advocate. Bottom line, Im incorporating a session on personal branding into the course for two reasons:   No one is exempt from the possibility of having to look for a new job; and I want to offer some resources I think will help clear things up for the class.   In this social and online world, everyone now has a digital presence whether they realize it or not. Brand Authenticity Im a BIG advocate of brand authenticity both for the personal and business brand.  To that end, Ive pretty much agreed with what Dr. Hubert Rampersad has to say in his white paper: Authentic Personal Branding. Heres a brief excerpt Ive also included his Personal Branding Framework as well. Everyone has a Personal Brand but most people are not aware of this and do not manage this strategically, consistently, and effectively. You should take control of your brand and the message it sends and affect how others perceive you. Authentic Personal Branding Framework ( © Hubert Rampersad) This proven authentic Personal Branding model entails a systematic and integrated voyage towards self-awareness, happiness, and enduring marketing success. A way of life in conformity with this system is a journey into the inner self, where your genius, values, hopes, dreams and aspirations lie quietly waiting to be discovered. The related practical tools will guide you to implement, maintain, and cultivate your brand effectively, articulate your brand with love and passion, improve your perceived value in the marketplace, become an expert in your field, and build credibility and a solid reputation within your industry. This innovative personal branding approach will allow you to view your life objectively and authentically and provides a road map to translate your genius, dreams and aspirations into manageable and measurable milestones and improvement actions. Well cover this in the class in two weeks and I will be recommending a number of resources, including Dr. Rampersads. Author: Beverly Macy is the Managing Partner of YM Partners and teaches a social media class at the UCLA Extension.   She also co-hosts Gravity Summit events and provides personal branding coaching.

5 Ways to Boost Your Productivity Going into 2018

5 Ways to Boost Your Productivity Going into 2018 With the holiday season in full-swing, its easy to fall off track and get lost in distractions at work. Whos going to the office Christmas party? When are the in-laws coming? Do we have enough food for the party next weekend? Before you fall off the wagon completely, take some time to refocus and finish the year off right.   Then take a look at these five ways to boost your productivity going into 2018. 1. Stay Laser Focused on One Task With so many things on your to-do list, its tempting to try and tackle everything at once. But trying to send out emails while working on reports will only drag out both tasks. Instead of multi-tasking, stay laser focused one task at a time. A 2010 study found that the brain can only handle two major tasks at one time. If youre trying to juggle five, youre overloading your brain. Focusing on just one task (maybe two) will help you get the job done faster and more effectively. 2. Ditch the Distractions Even if you only have one task on your plate, it can be hard to stay on track. In todays world, there are distractions around every corner. Someone just commented on your Facebook photo. Something catastrophic just happened in a country across the world. Your co-worker wont stop jamming out to his favorite heavy metal band. Finding a way to ditch the distractions will help you stay focused and get things done faster. Put your phone on silent. Forget checking the news. Shut out co-workers. 3. Take Advantage of New Technology Having trouble prioritizing tasks? Are there things you can automate? Research new technologies available in your field, and use them to your advantage.   Advanced technology has affected virtually every type of work out there, including some that might surprise you. Marketers can use automation software to save time and stay productive. Plumbers can use leak detection tools to take the guesswork out of repairs. Automotive technicians can use new diagnostic tools to figure out whats wrong with a vehicle in 30 minutes or less. Use new technologies to make your life at work easier and your days more productive. 4. Prioritize Tasks Before starting your day, take the time to make a list of everything you need to get done and prioritize your tasks. Get the most important things done first, and then tackle the less-important things. The goal is to get these important things done at the start of the day when your focus and performance is at its best. Usually, the tasks at the top of your list are the most intensive. Getting them out of the way first thing in the morning will make the rest of your afternoon (when we tend to lose steam) easier. 5. Get Away from it All Chaining yourself to a desk day in and day out can make you dread coming to work. If you feel like youve hit a brick wall, a change of scenery may be just the thing to put you back on track. Take your laptop to the local coffee shop or park to get some fresh air. Working outdoors comes with a host of benefits. Soaking up that vitamin D (in a safe way) will help stimulate your mind and make you more productive.

HR Technology Trends That Could Impact Your Job Search and Career - CareerEnlightenment.com

HR Technology Trends That Could Impact Your Job Search and Career When you apply for an internship, job or promotion, it makes sense not just to research industry trends and competitor developments, but also to understand what’s going on in HR, because these are the people that hire and fire staff. The latest HR trends are all to do with technology, which is a major factor in any good HR team, so your knowledge of the tech they use will help you get ahead.AI is being used to find the best candidatesLarge companies that don’t use AI (Artificial Intelligence) in their recruitment process are at a disadvantage because they can’t maximize efficiency when it comes to scanning all those CVs and cover letters and interviewing a diverse range of candidates. As Benefit News reported in April, there are now some brilliant digital tools to spot and counteract recruitment biases towards people of a certain sexuality, gender, race or religion. Say goodbye to the pale, male and stale working environment. To keep on the right side of an automated data checker , when you submit your CV or digital job application form, make doubly sure you’ve filled the right information in the right boxes. Some application forms can pull in data from your uploaded CV or LinkedIn profile, but they can paste it in the wrong order or with formatting issues. The intranet becomes more valuable According to Workforce.com, a company’s intranet is ranked just behind email as a way for HR to keep in contact with staff â€" ahead of social media, apps and physical posters in staff rooms. As workers deal with email overload and endless email threads, the intranet seems like a great alternative way to spread messages, point out internal vacancies and highlight good employees.Good job signposting is particularly important for retention: the LinkedIn Global Recruiting Trends report 2018 highlighted the case of Nielsen increasing staff retention by better signposting promotions and internal jobs.If your dream employer has very few vacancies, consider an internship as a way in. As an intern, you’ve taken that valuable step inside the company and you can check the intranet for news of upcoming vacancies or ways to get ahead internally, like finding a mentor. Employees are worried about lack of technology trainingAccording to HR News, 70% of UK employees claim they aren’t getting the technology training they need, and 31% of IT managers are worried about a potential skills shortage affecting digital company initiatives. This suggests there’s a gap between the technology employees are using and the level of training they’re given. If this happens in your workplace, research one-day courses or workshops that you and your colleagues could complete to get up to (and claim on expenses).Should an employer not be willing to pay for you to learn new tech skills, consider paying privately if the technology is essential in your industry, because it will be invaluable for future jobs, and not having the skills will put you at a disadvantage when applying for jobs. The struggle to ‘switch off’ is a concernIn May, the CIPD released the results of its major survey, Health and Wellbeing at Work, which monitored health and absence management in over 1,000 organizations. The technology was a double-edged sword for respondents. On the plus side, 74% of those surveyed said technology helps with flexible working, which is a big plus point for employees, and 44% said it reduces commuting time and costs for staff. However, 87% reported being unable to switch off outside working hours, and 46% said this technology reliance could affect the quality of their sleep. An over-reliance on technology can also contribute to ‘presenteeism’ (working long hours for the sake of appearances or team pressure but achieving little) or ‘leaveism’ (working whilst technically on annual leave). When applying for jobs, read up on a company’s culture as much as possible to get a sense of its technology use and its level of interest in staff wellbeing through HR priorities and mission statements. A good employer values employees’ peace of mind and downtime as well as their working time.Understanding these HR technology trends will keep you up to speed with the latest concerns for hiring managers and HR managers, which is always a bonus for boosting your career prospects.

Putting Writing Experience On Resume

Putting Writing Experience On ResumeIf you are applying for a job in sales, and you have had a lot of putting writing experience on your resume, do not be alarmed, because the hiring manager will see it as a positive. You may also find that it would look worse on the CV of someone with more experience. Some sales managers are very discriminating when hiring, and they do not want to hire someone who has professional experience in sales from 'backyard' business. That would make you look foolish. While there is nothing wrong with selling products or services, sales managers want to know that you can sell products and services to the general public and not just to a business person. You need to understand that the writing experience on your resume, will be considered, but more importantly, it will be considered by your potential employer. The more experience you have in selling, the better. It is difficult to sell something when you have only written about it. Sales managers want sales prof essionals that have experienced. It is almost impossible to sell something that you have not tried yourself. That is why it is so important to have sales experience on your resume. When people have experience, they are not afraid to tell you what has worked for them, and what they have done wrong. You need to take action. Give a sales professional an example of something that you have done. When they ask for examples, don't be shy.Your professional sales experience will be an asset to you in the future. Having this information on your resume will help you stand out. Once you have put a good amount of experience on your resume, it will provide a boost to your ego. There are sales positions that are looking for professionals to fill the positions. And if you have put putting writing experience on your resume, you will get an interview and an offer.
